Under limited supervision, supervises the activities of evening school custodial personnel in order to ensure the proper maintenance of school buildings and grounds. Supervises assigned custodians. Reviews work of subordinates for completeness and accuracy. Reports to the Building Custodial Coordinator.

Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work; must be able to remain on feet for periods of time, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, climb, balance and perform manual tasks. Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions :
- Supervises evening school custodial activities, ensuring the proper maintenance and cleanliness of school buildings in accordance with established regulations and standards.
- Supervises duties of assigned custodial staff. Supervisory duties include instructing; assigning, reviewing and planning work of others; maintaining standards; and allocating personnel and acting on employee problems. Reviews the work of subordinates for completeness and accuracy, evaluates and makes recommendations as appropriate, and offers advice and assistance as needed.
- Inspects building thoroughly on a regular basis for safety, cleanliness, temperature, etc.
- Ensures the availability of equipment required for daily tasks.
- May be required to respond to emergency calls.
- Receives, reviews, prepares and/or submits various records and reports, including maintenance records, time sheets, work schedules, work orders, memos, etc.
- Operates a variety of equipment, such as a telephone, floor buffer, carpet cleaner, vacuum, sweeper, hand and power tools, cleaning equipment and tools.
- Exercises care and safety in the use of equipment and tools required to complete assigned tasks.
- Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals, such as the immediate supervisor, subordinates, school staff, and students.
- Complies with all federal laws, state statutes, Board policies, administrative rules, and directives.
Additional Duties :
- Conducts custodial duties including cleaning buildings, changing light fixtures, moving furniture, and conducting minor repairs to equipment.
- Unlocks /secures building and rooms.
- Sets up chairs, tables and other equipment for special programs.
- Performs related duties as required.
