The CMM Programmer will develop and maintain dimensional inspection programs, coordinate measurement operations, and support manufacturing data collection and analysis. The position is responsible for CMM programming, Structured Light measurement programming, Best fit software programming, and NX CAD modeling. Anticipated Pay Range $65K-75K per year. Job Responsibilities Develop dimensional inspection programs in Visual Basic and Python based on requirement definitions, customer blueprints, CAD models, and specifications for manufacturing data collection, analysis, and distribution. Support existing programs by troubleshooting, implementing modifications, or adding new information as required. Use deep knowledge of coordinate metrology, CMMs, and CMM Manager software to collaborate with end users on requirement definitions and functional designs for new and enhanced programs. Use NX CAD software to extract geometric information from models required to generate CMM and structured light measurement part programs. Handle electronic data management using NX for tool builds, gating builds, and production gating schemes. Assist engineering in analyzing electronic models and coordinating with casting and tooling houses. Document all activities to satisfy customer and quality requirements. Provide end‑user instruction in application use. Other responsibilities as assigned. Skills and Abilities Reads, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; writes reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; presents information effectively and responds to questions from managers, clients, and the general public. Applies mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry; uses fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations. Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions; interprets technical instructions in diagram or mathematical form and handles multiple abstract and concrete variables. Basic Qualifications Associate’s Degree in a technical field or high school diploma/equivalent with two years comparable technical experience. Five years of related experience and/or training.
