Tech Data Analyst (Advanced SQL skill)

Location: Irving, TX / Tampa, FL / Jersey City, NJ

Duration: Full Time

Job Description:

• Must have - Strong RDBMS experience: Oracle; SQL (Advanced), mongoDB (basic)

• Must have - Strong experience in use of Big Data HDFS based platform for data analysis and investigations

• Must have - Ability to write complex SQL needed to investigate data issues, repair damaged data, and migrate data to new structures

• Experience in large Data Warehouses or Big Data Lakes (30+ TB) and Front/Middle/Back-office systems

• Domain knowledge in Finance, Risk Management and/or Regulatory Reporting in the Banking industry

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including use of Excel for presentation of data and mappings

• Passion to deliver results in a complex enterprise application / environment

• Able to work with global teams across different regions

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities, and using data insights to inform and drive strategic decision-making.

2. Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python, R, and other programming languages relevant to data analysis.

3. Managing data-related projects from initiation to completion.

4. Develop mappings of sources to target databases, including documentation of transformation rules.

5. Communicate regularly with architects and modelers working in parallel tracks to maintain consistency of models and other deliverables.

6. Interact with globally diversified team spread over many international locations and time-zones

7. Ensuring high quality software development, with complete documentation and traceability

8. Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards

9. Working with business partners and other stakeholders to understand and document requirements

10. Working with project managers and support teams to meet delivery targets
