Experienced Preschool Teacher – Older Preschool Classroom

Kiddie Academy® of Longenbaugh-Cypress is seeking an experienced, dependable, and energetic Preschool Teacher to join our team and work with our older preschool-aged children.

We are looking for a teacher who brings a strong classroom presence, excellent classroom management skills, and a genuine understanding of early childhood development . This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys preparing children for their next stage of learning while maintaining a positive, structured, engaging classroom environment.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

• Have excellent classroom management skills and be comfortable managing a busy classroom of older preschoolers.

• Be able to create a classroom environment that is structured, engaging, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate.

• Follow and consistently implement an established curriculum rather than relying solely on self-created activities.

• Work closely with our Curriculum Coordinator to plan, implement, evaluate, and strengthen classroom curriculum.

• Be receptive to coaching, feedback, modeling, and professional development.

• Understand how to balance kindergarten-readiness skills with hands-on, play-based learning.

• Be flexible and team-oriented , including assisting in other classrooms or areas of the Academy when needed.

• Communicate professionally and positively with children, families, co-teachers, and administration.

• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, initiative, and consistency.

• Understand that quality early childhood education requires active supervision, intentional teaching, documentation, and meaningful interaction with children throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Previous preschool classroom experience required .

• CPR and First Aid certification required.
  
  
• Knowledge of Texas childcare licensing standards and developmentally appropriate practices preferred.

• Texas Rising Star experience is a plus.
  
  
• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, degree, or other relevant credentials are highly valued.

• Must be willing to complete all state-required training and ongoing professional development.

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience, education, professional credentials/accreditations, and demonstrated classroom skills.
