Pay Rate: $1,500 to $1,656 /week


Contract: 13 weeks


Schedule: Weekend Night Shift, Friday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM


Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week


Experience: Minimum 5 years required


About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist for a 13-week rapid response contract opportunity in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This role supports a Critical Access Hospital laboratory during weekend night shifts and requires a confident lab generalist who can work independently with minimal supervision.


Responsibilities
• Perform routine and complex testing across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, urinalysis, coagulation, and serology
• Analyze, verify, and report accurate lab results, including critical values
• Manage weekend night laboratory workflow independently and prioritize urgent testing needs
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed
• Document laboratory testing and reporting accurately using Cerner


Requirements
• ASCP MLS/MT Or AMT Certification Required
• AHA BLS/BCLS Certification Required
• Minimum 5 years of recent hospital laboratory experience required
• Strong generalist, blood bank, phlebotomy, and independent night shift experience required
• Recent QuidelOrtho Vitros 7600 and/or Vitros 5600 experience and Cerner experience required
