Job Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a long-term care (LTC) setting is responsible for assisting and supervising daily nursing activities during the assigned day shift. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations to maintain the highest quality of care. The LPN applies rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices within a skilled nursing facility environment. Responsibilities:
- Assist and supervise day-to-day nursing activities in the facility during the shift.
- Provide nursing care in accordance with federal, state, and facility standards and regulations.
- Implement rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices to support patient recovery.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate patient status effectively.
- Perform other nursing duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital, skilled nursing facility, or comparable institution.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
- IV certification for LPNs.
- Work performed in a skilled nursing facility environment.
- Compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and facility policies.
- Day shift schedule.
