Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized emergency nursing care in a high-volume emergency department, ensuring prompt and effective treatment for diverse patient needs. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon arrival and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond swiftly to deteriorating conditions.
• Document patient information accurately in the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license valid for practice in Tennessee.
• Possess at least 2 years of experience in emergency nursing.
• Maintain current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CPI.
• Demonstrate advanced skills in sepsis and stroke management.
• Ability to perform emergency procedures and utilize hospital equipment such as Hillrom, Stryker, GE, and Lifepak defibrillators.
• Strong knowledge of emergency protocols and documentation standards.
