Medical Assistant (Physician Practice)

Job Description We are seeking a Medical Assistant (Physician Practice) to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. Responsibilities may include: Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records Collect laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing Explain treatment procedures, medications, or physicians' instructions to patients Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations Provide prescription information to pharmacies Perform routine laboratory tests and sample analyses Clean and sterilize instruments Dispose of contaminated supplies Schedule patient appointments Send referral information to providers, facilities, hospitals Greet and check in patients arriving at clinic Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms Inventory medical, lab, or office supplies and equipment Qualifications: Previous experience in healthcare Familiarity with medical office procedures Company Description Orthopedic clinic located in southwest Dallas #J-18808-Ljbffr Orthopedic Clinic
