Job Summary The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for performing duties to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors systems, and hydraulic systems or tools. Shift Hours 2nd Shift: 3:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m., Monday - Thursday Shift Differential Second shift employees are eligible for a 20% shift differential on top of base pay. Compensation The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $30.24 to $40.32. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors, including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education. Essential Functions Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services. Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties. Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments to involve dismantling, inspection, machining, or replacement of purchased parts. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications. Provides maintenance information by answering questions and requests. May repair electrical equipment. Required High School Diploma or equivalent GED 2 years of related experience in an industrial environment Preferred 4 years of related experience Electrical Certificate Background in PLC's and electronics Electrical Robotics,ABB and Fanuc Background in Die Cast or Plastic injection Strong trouble shooting skills Physical Demand Factors The following physical demand factors should be used as a general guideline for employees listed under this job title.
