Highlights Join a growing group of Community Gastroenterology Physicians dedicated to high-quality patient care. The team includes 6 full-time GI physicians 6 full-time Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) Access to 2 Ambulatory Endoscopy Centers (ASCs) in Guilford County 2 hospital locations: High Point Medical Center and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Collaborative relationship with 20+ faculty physicians at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC Practice Expansion The Community GI team is expanding to new medical office locations in Greensboro and Winston-Salem in 2026 Schedule & Hours Office/Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Endoscopy Hours: 7:00 AM-4:00 PM (based on location) Call Coverage 1:6 nights/weekends at High Point Medical Center Daytime hospital work partially covered by a dedicated GI hospitalist Call will be equally distributed as the group expands Patient Volume Procedure Days: 15+ patients/day Clinic Sessions: 7-10 patients/session Clinical Responsibilities Hybrid Case Model GI physician assigned to hospital consults Supported by a dedicated inpatient APP Procedure Mix Outpatient hospital cases Inpatient cases in a dedicated endoscopy department Procedures Performed: Full range of GI Endoscopy (Upper EGD, Lower Colonoscopy) Training and/or Experience Required Graduation from an accredited medical school as an M.D./D.O. Successful completion of Internal Medicine residency at an accredited healthcare institution. Successful completion of Gastroenterology Fellowship at an accredited healthcare institution. Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology from said residency. Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License as a current M.D./D.O. Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing required.
