POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for utilization review and discharge planning of all acute clinical areas. Responsible for all insurance authorizations, clinical communication, and denial and appeals. Tracking and reporting of data for other departments. Responsibilities Coordinates clinical care of assigned patient population during the acute phase of illness from a utilization perspective. Identifies high risk patients and implements appropriate discharge plan Exhibits quality in daily performance Qualifications Education: Graduate of Registered Nurse Program Experience: 2 years acute care RN experience License: Registered Nurse Certification: BLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN) Organization Description St. Marys Medical Center (SMMC), part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 420-bed acute care hospital in West Palm Beach. The hospital has been serving Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast for more than 80 years.SMMC is a Level 1 Trauma Center, a state-designated Pediatric Trauma Referral Center, certified Comprehensive Stoke Center, and has a level III NICU.
