About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Data Management, Analytics, AI, and Architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a unified data management and architecture function, defining the strategy for data platforms, AI architecture, and data governance. This role requires a strong partnership with various teams to ensure the technology landscape supports secure, scalable, and compliant data capabilities. Key responsibilities include owning and leading the data management and enablement function, driving data platforms and standards, and serving as the data and AI architecture authority. The Executive Director will also be tasked with establishing data governance and regulatory compliance standards, as well as leading a combined team of data professionals. Candidates for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 17 years of experience in product ownership or management roles, particularly in the biotech, pharma, or life sciences industry. Technical expertise in enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and system integration strategies is essential, as is hands-on experience with cloud and modern data platforms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading complex data and architecture initiatives, establishing data governance frameworks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are also required, along with the ability to operate through cross-functional influence and a commitment to a culture of data governance discipline and architectural rigor.
