Community Support Professional (Full-Time • Part-Time) Starting pay at $19/hr. + Mileage Reimbursement Personal Vehicle Required) + Weekend If helping others achieve independence inspires you, this opportunity is for you. Join Center for Developmentally Disabled (CDD) — a nonprofit serving Kansas City for over 50 years — as a Community Support Professional. You’ll make a lasting impact by helping individuals with developmental disabilities build meaningful relationships, participate in community life, and gain the confidence to thrive. What You’ll Do Support individuals in their homes and community settings — not a facility. Help clients participate in social, recreational, volunteer, and faith-based activities. Provide reliable transportation and personal support as needed. Collaborate with families to design flexible, meaningful daily and weekly routines. Document services, progress, and outcomes in Therap. Encourage independence, dignity, and self-advocacy. What You Bring High school diploma or GED (required). Valid driver’s license (Class E MO or Class C KS), auto insurance, clean driving record, and personal vehicle (required). Compassionate communication, strong organization, and a person-centered mindset. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and complete CPR/First Aid (training provided). Prior caregiving, education, or human services experience preferred. The Role at a Glance Schedule: Full-time or part-time; flexible hours coordinated with families and individuals Training: Paid two-week onboarding, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (required) Ready to Make a Difference?
