Senior Business Systems Engineer

Senior Business Systems Engineer

Relate Search has partnered with a global organization focused on developing innovative products and solutions that enhance workforce safety to identify a Senior Business Systems Engineer who can help strengthen and evolve the technology behind critical business operations. This is a highly visible, hands-on opportunity for an experienced enterprise applications professional who enjoys solving complex problems across interconnected systems and turning business needs into sustainable technical solutions. You'll bring deep expertise in at least one core enterprise platform while developing broad knowledge across ERP, CRM, integration, and business applications. Working closely with both technical and business stakeholders, you'll have the autonomy to diagnose challenging issues, shape solutions, and make a meaningful impact on the reliability and scalability of the application environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable business system solutions through configuration, automation, integrations, and custom development across enterprise applications, with deep ownership of at least one core platform.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and production support, identifying root causes across ERP, CRM, middleware, and integrated systems and driving sustainable solutions that reduce recurring incidents and technical debt.
• Translate business requirements into thoughtful technical solutions, partnering with Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, Marketing, Legal, and other stakeholders to clarify needs, evaluate tradeoffs, and recommend the best path forward.
• Own solution design for enhancements and integrations, evaluating cross-system impacts while maintaining strong standards for security, data governance, internal controls, testing, documentation, and change management.
• Strengthen the broader application engineering team through technical mentoring, knowledge sharing, documentation, and thoughtful evaluation of emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, with 8+ years of hands-on enterprise application development experience in an Agile environment.
• Deep hands-on development expertise in at least one of the following: Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion, or Salesforce, with the ability to work effectively across adjacent enterprise applications.
• Experience with MuleSoft, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), or a comparable enterprise integration platform, including APIs, integrations, and cross-system troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated ability to independently scope complex technical problems, evaluate multiple solutions, make sound technical decisions, and communicate tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and integration patterns, including REST/SOAP APIs, SOA, ERP/CRM integrations, and business processes such as Sales-to-Quote and Order-to-Cash.

Why This Opportunity

• High-impact individual contributor role with meaningful ownership across a critical enterprise application landscape.
• Opportunity to work across Oracle, Salesforce, integration platforms, and emerging AI-assisted development technologies rather than being confined to a single system.
• Join a small, collaborative application engineering team where your technical judgment and problem-solving ability will have visible impact.
• Work directly with business leaders and functional teams to influence how technology supports business outcomes.
• Hybrid flexibility in Dayton, OH or remote for the right candidate.
