Role Description The Community Outreach Coordinator is a part-time, on-site role based in the Greater Houston area, supporting TOMAGWA’s mission through community engagement and relationship building. This position is responsible for planning and implementing outreach activities to raise awareness of TOMAGWA’s services among local residents, faith communities, partner organizations, and potential supporters. The Coordinator will recruit, train, and support volunteers for outreach events and health initiatives, and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners. Daily tasks include organizing events, distributing educational materials, representing TOMAGWA at community meetings, gathering feedback from stakeholders, and tracking outreach activities and outcomes. The role also involves assisting with communication efforts such as updates for faith partners, community groups, and local agencies to strengthen TOMAGWA’s presence in the Tri-County region. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Cooperation abilities to build trust with diverse community members and partners. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear verbal communication and professional written communication for outreach materials and correspondence. Candidates should possess experience or aptitude in Community Outreach, including organizing events, presentations, and informational sessions in local communities. Candidates should possess Volunteer Management skills, including recruiting, coordinating, and supporting volunteers for outreach and clinic-related activities. Candidates should possess basic organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple outreach initiatives and maintain accurate records. Familiarity with nonprofit or healthcare settings, and alignment with TOMAGWA’s Christian mission and values, is beneficial. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel within the Greater Houston and Tri-County areas is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in public health, social services, communications, or a related field is an asset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
