About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: OB/GYN Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in High Risk Labor and Delivery or Antepartum License: Active TX RN License required Certifications: BLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring required Must-Have: High Risk Obstetrical Experience (Labor & Delivery or Antepartum) 2+ Years of Client Experience BLS Certification NRP Certification Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification Description: Candidate must have Labor and Delivery/Antepartum experience. Unit has 19 beds with a patient ratio of 1:5. Documentation system utilized is Meditech & CPIN. Shifts will be scheduled to fill vacancies, and holiday requirements will be discussed during the interview. Floating policy: As needed. Experience with high acuity patients preferred. Candidates must have skills in Magnesium Sulfate management and preterm labor management. Dress code includes blue scrubs with an insignia. Scrub colors: RN must wear blue. Nail policy requires clean and healthy nails; no artificial enhancements. Hair must be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed. Shoulder-length hair or longer must be pulled back when working. Tattoos should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings, other than earrings, are prohibited. Candidates are encouraged to consider the newly renovated Women's Services Unit when considering this position.
