Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Acute Care, Night Shift)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Projected Start: September 14, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an acute care unit serving pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations across medicine, surgery, telemetry, and pediatrics specialties
• Manage common diagnoses and treatments including COPD, CHF, pre/post cath lab care, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, and acute respiratory failure in adult and pediatric patients
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 in a 23-bed acute care unit
• Operate unit equipment including Omnicell Medication Dispensers, Baxter pumps, Masimo Monitors, and a GE Telemetry Monitoring system, and document care using MEDHOST EHR
• Fulfill weekend hours as assigned on a variable schedule and fulfill on-call requirements as per contract
• Float to other departments as needed based on patient census and departmental needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Nevada or through compact licensure
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• ACLS certification required (candidates have up to 60 days from start date to obtain if not already held)
• PALS certification required (candidates have up to 90 days from start date to obtain if not already held)
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• Experience in Telemetry nursing
