Senior IT Project Manager

Leidos is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager who is interested in supporting large information technology projects for our Utility Technologies Solutions team. In this role, you will be driving the execution and delivery of IT projects for our electric utility client. Additionally, you will ensure the successful delivery of projects while adhering Leidos' Mission, Vision, and Values. Location This position is based in South Plainfield, New Jersey. Qualified candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be able to work onsite at client offices three days per week. Responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of technology projects, ensuring successful delivery within established timelines, budgets, and quality expectations. Oversee project governance activities, including planning, tracking milestones, managing deliverables, resolving issues, and controlling scope changes. Partner with business units, IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to coordinate project execution and maintain alignment. Apply PMO/EPMO standards, methodologies, reporting practices, and governance requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Create and maintain project documentation, including schedules, risk and issue logs, status updates, action items, and executive-level communications. Lead project meetings, requirements workshops, design reviews, testing readiness activities, and deployment planning sessions. Monitor and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues associated with system integrations, third‑party vendors, compliance requirements, and technical limitations.
