Manufacturing Engineer

These positions also work closely with Plant and Branch Operations in order to anticipate and resolve issues. Develops manufacturing processes.ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll DoDesign and build automation solutions.Conducts plant visits to assist with project planning, process improvement and to maintain company assets.Provides manufacturing engineering information to customers.Responsible for capital expenditure program (budgeting, project planning and implementation).Develops cost reduction, quality and safety enhancement projects/opportunities.Performs payback analysis, obtains quotes and oversees project installation.Improves manufacturing efficiency thru analysis and workflow planning.Develops manufacturing processes.Confers with equipment vendors on product design and capabilities.Develops corporate engineering strategies.Researches new equipment and processes for future implementation.Specifies necessary toolingDevelops solutions to manufacturing and quality problems.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsYour Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)Education: A bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering or related field.Experience: 5-10 years of experience preferred.Skills: Basic knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems Asset justificationIndustrial engineering skills such as work measurement, labor reporting, and plant layoutUnderstanding of building and maintenance contracts including liability issuesBasic knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing processesComputer skills including MS Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.Analytical analysis and problem solving skillsStrong communication and organizational skillsUnderstand of compliance regulations and codesTravel: Up to 50%Physical/Mental RequirementsThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
