Job Summary:

The Emergency Room Nurse Manager oversees daily operations and staffing in the Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. This role focuses on improving patient safety, clinical outcomes, and maintaining the department's standards of care through strong leadership and clinical expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Emergency Room staffing and daily operations.
• Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and outcomes.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to staff nurses.
• Conduct skill checks and performance evaluations.
• Address patient, visitor, and physician complaints promptly.
• Manage recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff.
• Support continuous improvement of care delivery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
• Monitor department performance and work towards unit goals.
• Resolve operational and clinical challenges.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure -Tennessee or a compact state.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of clinical leadership experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required.
• BCLS certification.
