Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo (Echocardiography) in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves performing adult transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms in a highly skilled, collaborative environment. The role includes caring for patients across the care continuum, utilizing advanced ultrasound equipment, and supporting a variety of diagnostic procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with rotational Saturday and Sunday shifts. Variable start times at 0700, 0730, 0800, 0830, or 0900 AM. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonography training program or graduation from an ultrasonography program, registered by ARDMS or CCI. Minimum of one-year adult echocardiography experience required. Valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certifications: Registered by ARDMS (Respiratory Care Specialist or RDCS) or certified by CCI (RCCS, RCS). If certified by CCI, specify which certification is held.
• Skills: 2D and 3D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Diastology, GE and Philips ultrasound systems, PACS, portable studies, ICU and emergency procedures, ultrasound enhancement agents (Definity and Optison), and procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings. Ability to perform 7 scans per day, meet pace and volume expectations, and administer Ultrasound enhancement agents.
• Additional Information: Floating to other clinics (Arbor Gate & East Madison Clinic) as needed. Must meet strict pass/fail telemetry testing with criteria including identification of lethal rhythms. Prior echocardiography experience is preferred for optimal performance.
• Location: 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792. Onsite parking permit required through university transportation services.
• Travel Compliance & Experience: Travelers must be willing to float as needed and have at least the minimum experience specified. Pass/Fail telemetry testing required prior to start, with two attempts allowed.
