Hardware Engineer

Location: Milwaukee, WI



Salary: $40/hr TPC / $90K FT - negotiable for strong candidates

Job Summary:
Seeking a Hardware Engineer with 5+ years of experience in hardware design, testing, troubleshooting, and system-level verification.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Perform product testing, hardware mapping, test case creation, and design verification.

• Troubleshoot hardware boards, perform board bring-up, and document/report anomalies.

• Read and update schematics; support PCB layout and board-level design.

• Design and test microprocessor/microcontroller, memory, I/O, analog/digital, and power supply circuits.

• Perform Ethernet/USB design, testing, and certification activities.

• Develop and update test stands and resolve hardware issues.

• Use oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and other tools for signal-integrity testing.

• Apply EMI/EMC reduction techniques and support regulatory certification testing.

• Manage prototype builds from BOM creation through assembly and testing.

• Hands-on soldering and hardware troubleshooting skills required.

• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools required.

• Preferred: Design-for-circuits experience and certification testing experience.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience .
