Information Technology SpecialistIT Specialist Hiring Salary: $53,243.29 - $66,484.92 Annually This position will be based at either the Yuma or Kingman business office. Regular travel throughout WACOG's service area is required, using a WACOG-owned vehicle. The position provides technical support, administers technology resources and user access, supports cybersecurity and data protection practices, coordinates with technology vendors, and assists with the implementation and continuous improvement of technology solutions.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.Provide technology support to employees across WACOG locations, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, connectivity, telecommunications, audiovisual, printing, and other technology issues while minimizing operational disruption.Configure, deploy, maintain, and support technology resources including computers, mobile devices, peripherals, network equipment, telecommunications systems, software, cloud-based applications, and related technologies.Administer user accounts, system access, and security permissions supporting employee onboarding, role changes, and separation processes and applying appropriate authentication, access-control, and information-security practices.Support the security and reliability of WACOG technology systems through system monitoring, software and security updates, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, backup and recovery practices, documentation, and escalation of suspected cybersecurity incidents.Maintain technology infrastructure and connectivity across WACOG facilities, including networks, wireless systems, internet connectivity, cabling, telecommunications, and coordination of installations, upgrades, migrations, and service changes.Manage technology assets throughout their lifecycle including inventory, configuration records, licensing, procurement, warranties, replacement planning, storage, and secure disposition in accordance with WACOG requirements.Coordinate with technology vendors and service providers assisting with purchasing, implementation, troubleshooting, service performance, and identification of solutions that meet operational, security, fiscal, and program requirements.Provide employee guidance and training regarding technology systems, cybersecurity awareness, data protection, responsible use of technology, and effective utilization of approved software, automation, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies.Evaluate organizational technology needs and recommend improvements including opportunities to improve efficiency, security, accessibility, interoperability, automation, and service delivery while considering program, funding, compliance, and operational requirements.Support organizational operations by maintaining confidentiality and protecting information; maintaining reliable attendance; traveling throughout the WACOG service area; working outside normal business hours when operational needs require; and performing other related duties necessary to support organizational and departmental objectives.EOE/ADA Western Arizona Council of Governments
