Position Overview: As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading engineering project planning, execution, and cross-functional coordination from inception to completion. You will ensure project deliverables meet technical requirements, schedules, and budget constraints while working closely with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and key stakeholders.

Reporting Relationships:

The Project Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional engineering project execution from concept definition through full production release.
\n
• Develop detailed project schedules, technical scope documents, resource allocation plans, and milestone tracks.
\n
• Serve as the primary technical interface between Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and external clients.
\n
• Manage project risks, resolve technical roadblocks, and execute root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
\n
• Coordinate design review milestones (PDR, CDR) and technical documentation deliverables with systems, hardware, and software teams.
\n
• Monitor and control project budget, engineering changes (ECO/ECN process), and scope modifications.
\n
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and industry specifications across product lines.
\n
• Drive continuous process improvements for engineering project management workflows and reporting systems.
\n
• Evaluating and test proposed product design changes and complete deliverables required to complete the change.
\n
• Generating work instructions, providing direction/training to operators/technicians performing procedures.
\n
• Contribute to design documentation including input for technical design reviews
\n
• Communicate as a team member with other function groups, internal and external customers, and outside vendors on a regular basis.
\n
• Work with operations and manufacturing to identify and implement design cost reduction and the identification and qualification of new suppliers.
\n
• Design, develop, and document small to medium scale new processes and test methods.
\n
• Work with a larger team on the design and development of medium to large level new product designs, processes and test methods.
\n
• Demonstrate organizational and interpersonal skills working in a cross‐functional environment.
\n

Desired Qualifications:

\n
• Typically requires a BS in engineering or a related technical field with 7 or more years of relevant experience.
\n
• Ability to work in a team environment to ensure conductive working relationships
\n
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to organize and prioritize workflow to meet established time frames and schedules.
\n
• Proven track record of managing complex engineering products or high-density server/system integration projects.
\n
• Strong understanding of product development lifecycles (NPI), engineering change processes, and system design processes.
\n
• Knowledge of networking protocols is desirable.
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project schedule development.
\n
• Familiarity with 3D CAD and Schematic tools such as SolidWorks and Allegro.
\n
• Bill of Material creation and manufacturing process knowledge.
\n
• Active security clearance is desirable.
\n
