PeopleReady of Amarillo, TX is now hiring Dietary Aides in Amarillo, TX to support patient meal service operations in a healthcare environment. In this role, you will serve as a Patient Tray Ambassador and Runner, ensuring patients receive meals accurately, promptly, and with exceptional service.

This position requires frequent movement throughout multiple patient towers, delivering meal trays, logging meal orders, collecting trays, and assisting with patient dining needs. Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $15 - $15 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Dietary Aide:

• Deliver meal trays to patient rooms accurately and efficiently

• Collect used trays and transport them to designated service areas

• Take and log patient meal orders using established procedures

• Verify patient information and dietary requirements before meal delivery

• Assist patients with meal-related questions and requests

• Navigate between multiple patient towers throughout the shift

• Push and pull meal carts safely through hospital corridors and elevators

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of meal service equipment and work areas

• Communicate effectively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and supervisors

• Follow all food safety, infection control, and hospital policies

• Provide friendly, professional, and compassionate service to patients and visitors

• Assist with tray line setup and meal service preparation as needed

Available shifts:

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day), Weekends

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Previous food service, dietary aide, hospitality, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Professional appearance and strong personal hygiene standards required

• Positive, patient-focused attitude with a hospitality mindset

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable attendance and punctuality required

• Background check and drug testing required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift

• Frequent walking between multiple hospital towers and patient care areas

• Ability to push and pull meal carts safely

• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds

• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movement throughout the workday
