About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the accounting organization through a period of modernization and scale. The CFO will be responsible for transforming the accounting function into a scalable, well-controlled, and modern entity that can support the company's growth trajectory. This hands-on leadership role requires a candidate with a strong background in the non-QM mortgage lending industry, particularly in specialty finance, lending operations, and financial reporting specific to mortgage lending environments. The successful candidate will be tasked with building, professionalizing, and scaling accounting operations, systems, and talent, while ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting. Key responsibilities for the CFO include organizational building and team leadership, process and systems modernization, and financial reporting and controls. The role demands a strategic problem solver with a process improvement mindset, capable of driving the design and implementation of accounting processes, systems, and controls. The CFO will also be expected to own the integrity and timeliness of financial statements, maintain a strong internal control environment, and oversee technical accounting matters. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required, along with a CPA and a minimum of 8-12 years' progressive accounting experience, with a focus on the non-QM mortgage lending or related financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a growth-stage or scaling organization and possess key soft skills such as executive leadership, team building, and strong communication.
