• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $48.00-$52.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night shift, 3×12 hours, 19:00-07:30; weekend coverage every other weekend (may change based on need)

Job Summary

This is a Cardiac Telemetry travel nursing assignment caring for inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. Common cardiovascular diagnoses include, but are not limited to, sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease. The patient population may also include cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
• Administer vasoactive drugs
• Administer antiarrhythmic drug therapy
• Perform and assist with thrombolytic therapy
• Perform defibrillation/cardioversion
• Assist with thoracentesis
• Conduct cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Perform and interpret EKG
• Perform non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
• Float to like units or to other facilities depending on need

Required Skills

• Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience
• Ability to float to like units or other facilities as needed

Education Requirements

• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• SC RN License required
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)

Required Experience

• 2 years of experience in the field required (will review first-time travelers based on experience)

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Float is required to like units or to other facilities depending on need
• Weekend coverage every other weekend; may change based on need
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30), 3×12 hours
