Police Crime Analyst

Performs professional, administrative and technical work to analyze and evaluate data to support Danville Police Department operations. Manages data and completes a wide variety of internal and external reports. Responds to requests for data analysis and information initiating from department command staff. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Information Technology, Database Management, GIS ore related field and three to five years’ related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the specific requirements listed above Certifications/Licenses Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record according to City criteria. Job Knowledge Advanced knowledge of the subject matter. Complete comprehension of the subject area to solve common and unusual problems, able to advise on technical matters, and serve as a resource on the subject for others.
