We are seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced retail store. This role ensures all aspects of the store run smoothly, including customer service, inventory control, and sales. You will foster a positive and welcoming environment for customers while supporting and developing a productive team. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role is integral to achieving operational excellence and providing an exceptional shopping experience.

Compensation:

$17 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Keep the Store Manager informed about operational updates, team performance, and any store-related challenges
• Lead recruitment, hiring, and training efforts to build a skilled, diverse, and motivated team
• Address performance or conduct issues through appropriate disciplinary actions to uphold company standards
• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day store operations, including sales floor activities, merchandising, inventory control, and customer service
• Identify and respond to potential security concerns, including internal theft and shoplifting

Qualifications:

• Proven supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and hold team members accountable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with staff, customers, and leadership
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance for travel to different job sites
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve concerns and ensure satisfaction
• Experience fostering a positive and productive work environment
