About the Position

Job Title: RN - Emergency

Location: Dayton, OH | Pediatric Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type: Contract | Night Shift | 5x8 Hours | 23:00–07:00

Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional nursing care in accordance with standards set by the American Nurses Association and the Ohio Board of Nursing
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal health outcomes for pediatric patients and their families
Conduct detailed assessments of patient and family needs and deliver proficient, individualized nursing care
Promote a patient- and family-centered care environment while adapting to rapidly changing census and unit needs
Float across multiple ED sites and, when necessary, inpatient specialty units including Med/Surg, PICU, NICU, and Transitional Care; manage a patient assignment of 1–4 patients based on acuity
Participate in Mental Health Crisis Center rotation as part of the ED RN schedule

Required Qualifications:
BSN required
Active and unrestricted RN license in Ohio or a Compact state (must be in hand at time of submission)
CPR certification required
PALS certification required
Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Emergency Department experience
At least one recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty

Preferred Experience / Skills:
Experience working across multiple care settings including PICU, NICU, or pediatric Med/Surg units
Familiarity with mental health or crisis center environments
Experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced pediatric emergency setting
