The Department of Corrections is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Dentist to provide comprehensive oral healthcare within our facility. This role is designed for a clinician who is passionate about public service and eager to deliver high-quality dental treatment to an underserved population. You will manage a wide range of clinical cases, focusing on restorative care, oral surgery, and preventative health, all while working in a secure, structured, and collaborative medical environment.

Requirements

• Basic life support
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• DEA Registration

Education: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school.
Licensure: A valid, unrestricted license to practice dentistry.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of clinical dental experience.
Certifications: Current DEA registration and CPR/BLS certification.
Professionalism: Strong clinical judgment and the ability to maintain professional boundaries in a unique environment.

Job Description

Clinical Procedures: Perform a broad spectrum of dental services, including extractions, restorative fillings, endodontics, and prosthetic adjustments.
Diagnostics: Conduct comprehensive oral examinations, interpret radiographs, and diagnose complex dental conditions.
Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on stabilizing oral health and relieving pain.
Supervision: Lead and collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Emergency Care: Provide immediate intervention for dental trauma and acute infections.
Compliance: Maintain detailed electronic health records and adhere to all facility safety and security protocols.
