: SUMMARY: The Production Planning Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of production activities to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing costs. The Planning Supervisor will lead a team of production material planners, ensuring that production schedules are accurate, achievable, and aligned with the organization's goals. This role will involve collaborating with various departments, monitoring production performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include generating the specific production sequence by SKU, quantity, and line. Adjust future production based on attainment, plant performance, demand, raw material or packaging or any other critical changes. Utilize system tools within D365 ERP system, Blue Yonder Planning system, and Business Intelligence for reporting and analyzing. Need to prioritize and sequence to create maximum output and efficiency. Work closely with Plant Management to meet and set plant objectives as well as Corporate KPI's such as case fill and Finished Goods and Non-Finished Goods inventory targets. Provide leadership and support to the material planners to ensure the inventory of ingredients is carefully maintained to ensure there are no interruptions in production schedule. Provides site supervision to day to day activities. Work closely with procurement team member(s) to ensure ingredients are delivered on time and in full. Record production results and maintain the schedule attainment and compliance data to track plant performance. Analyze all variations for root cause and communicate with appropriate departments to resolve findings and improve process. Generate reports as required by Corporate Planning. Must document and perform root cause analysis for all write-offs. Serve as the operations customer service liaison for the plant. Represent Go-to-Market Planning at Plant functions. Proactive communication for supply plan risk to enable escalation when there is risk to service or production cost. Cover supply planning manager and/or material planner's responsibilities for vacations or leaves of absence when needed. Work with Quality and R&D on material shelf-life extensions/deviation requests. Provide cross-functional leadership and collaboration with procurement & material planners to provide vendors long-term forecasts. Lead and attend vendor meetings. Conduct weekly meetings with plant cross functional teams to review daily and weekly production plans, address operational challenges and drive alignment on priorities and objectives to achieve the production output goals. Data maintenance in D365 on BOM and any new SKU rollouts. Provide data on inventory quantities, expiration dates and yield as needed. Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities proactively and re-prioritize daily to accommodate the changing business requirements. Must be comfortable interfacing with various corporate roles and personnel without being face to face. Must be able to organize and manage time effectively. Must be able to make quick decisions while collaboratively analyzing and pinpointing problems. Must be capable of using strategic influence to gain support for desired process changes; functions as a business partner with the plant leadership to provide leadership. Fluent knowledge of the processing, packaging, maintenance, and logistics operational process Foster cooperation and consensus among team members and support positive employee relations at all times. Encourage alternative solutions and plans to solve problems. Take action and risk when needed. Ability to thrive in a fast pace dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Be capable of assessing own strengths and weaknesses to determine areas for strengthening skill sets. Seeks feedback from others. Works persistently towards a goal, with a bias for action. Invest in self-development. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred. Experience with ERP/MRP systems (D365 and Blue Yonder) and Planning is preferred. Experience in management/supervisor - minimum of 1 year. Minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning. Background in food manufacturing is a plus. TPM, Lean Manufacturing and Lean Supply Chain Techniques, preferred. Must have strong planning, scheduling, and negotiating skills. Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power-point). Proven leadership abilities with experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members. This position will reside in the office 5 days a week M-F normal business hours, as well as sometimes needed to answer calls/emails on weekends and after normal business hours.
