Overview Full‑time anesthesiologist opportunity (independent contractor, 1099) at Southern California Hospital at Culver City, a 420‑bed acute care facility located in Culver City, CA. Awards Ranked among the top 5% in the nation for Patient Safety Excellence (Healthgrades) Ranked in the top 5% for Pulmonary Care (2020‑2022, Healthgrades) Ranked in the top 10% for GI Care (2020‑2022, Healthgrades) Case Assignments Regional blocks, occasional neuroanesthesia, anesthesia for outpatient surgery Some thoracic, regional anesthesia, orthopedic anesthesia Rare administrative/leadership duties Shifts Full time; OR call is four to six calls a month and is not in‑house. Leadership Work with Dr. Wynnson Tom and the team to continuously improve clinical care, patient safety, and patient experience. Responsibilities Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department Medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre‑anesthesia assessment: obtain and/or verify patient consent, discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitor the patient's physiological condition Perform clinical interventions as needed Requirements M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine ECFMG and FLEX certification Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia Currently licensed as a physician in the state of California Benefits 1099 independent contractor status with leadership and professional development opportunities.
