Behavioral Health Technician (Independent Contractor)

Description Devereux has an exciting opportunity to become a Behavioral Health Technician with our Pocono Center. This is an Independent Contractor position. Advantages Clinical resources throughout the country Flexible schedules Knowledgeable & experienced team members Job Overview The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for the implementation of behavioral intervention plans individualized to each child or adolescent, and to family needs. Services are not a substitution for primary caregiver. The BHT cannot provide childcare responsibilities but must be in the presence of parent, teacher or primary caregiver. Area of service includes: Carbon, Lackawanna, Monroe, Pike, and Wayne counties in NEPA. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides direct services and support, in the child's home, school or community setting Implements the interventions outlined in the treatment plan Assists the child in developing age-appropriate behaviors and coping skills Offers support and transfers appropriate interventions to the child or caregiver Complete necessary data tracking Attends weekly supervision Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Pocono Center provides programs and services for adults and children with developmental disabilities. Located in Newfoundland, PA, this position is responsible for supporting children in the community as part of our IBHS services. Compensation Pay Rate: $23.00/hr Standard Payment for Sign-On: $200.00 at the time of full completion of training, contract requirements, and onboarding; $200.00 after the first case worked; $200.00 at 90 days after the first case worked, all provided that the Contractor has met the requirements set forth. For applicants prior to 6/30/2026: Increased Sign-On Bonus Opportunity! For those who complete onboarding, training, and provide services within 1 month of the offer, the sign-on bonus payment will be increased to $2000.00 total made in the following increments. $500.00 at the time of full completion of training, contract requirements, and onboarding; $500.00 after the first case worked; $1000.00 at 6 months after the first case worked. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: Human service experience working with children, adolescents, or adults preferred.
