Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will design models, drawings, and configurations of launch vehicle hardware with a focus on mechanical and fluid systems including secondary structures, piping and mechanisms. You will share in the team's impact on the design of the Stage 1 Tank and subsystems. You will report to the Manager of Mechanical, Materials & Structural Engineering within the Stage 1 Tanks team.Responsibilities:Maintain and revise released drawings based on engineering change requests from within Blue Origin and outside Suppliers.Balance tasks across different products within the Stage 1 TanksMaintain high level Stage 1 Tank assembly including exporting data, fulfilling product structure requests and automating tasks with scripts.Design and maintain product definition by preparing design layouts and drawings, modifying existing designs and resolving design discrepanciesApply relevant company, industry (design, drafting, parts) techniques to plan, lay-out, and maintain data depicting engineering designs (detail, assembly and installation drawings or datasets)Implement engineering and manufacturing standards to achieve a balanced approach to cost, schedule and performance requirementsSupport existing standards for product structure organization and namingSelf-prioritize and self-schedule work activity in support of the teamAssist in the development and deployment of reasonable standards for drafting.
