Night Shift Production Supervisor There is an opportunity for a Night Shift Production Supervisor at Ellwood National Forge. The opportunity is assigned at Irvine, however there may be periodic assignments to the Irvine/Warren/Corry plants. This position is an exempt, full time opportunity. Responsibilities Support the night shift production teams through the responsibilities below by performing a work schedule that begins no earlier than 7pm, or later than 11pm. Maintaining a safe work environment by assuring plant organization and housekeeping while maintaining product flow. Provide leadership to team members, training, setting clear expectations and complete annual performance evaluations of team members for skills and behavioral performance. Manage production work centers and maximize product throughput using manufacturing best practices and management directives. Manage product flow to meet production schedules and on time delivery to the customer. Assure Quality and Continuous Improvement by troubleshooting quality issues and focusing on continuous improvement by identifying, eliminating and preventing obstacles to efficient product flow, quality and efficiency. Responsible for the accuracy of team member timecards utilizing the UKG Workforce Management system. Responsible for documentation regarding employment related matters including hiring, promoting, disciplining and supporting affirmative action efforts. Administer, support and enforce safety regulations as well as policies, rules and procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook. Support all ENF policies, procedures and objectives. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Understanding of shop practices, capabilities, product processing and quality requirements. Ability to work well with a team while also working independently. Strong analytical skills, math skills and problem‑solving ability. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Results oriented. Ability to organize and prioritize. Ability to work well with other departments. Familiarity with Syteline, Microsoft Word and Excel. Willing to work a variety of shifts to provide support for the 24 hour operations of our facilities. Preferred Qualifications 3 – 5 or more years direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior management/leadership/supervisory classes/training. Proficiency with reading and interpreting blueprints including GD&T tolerancing. Proficiency with Syteline, Microsoft Word and Excel. Basic understanding of the characteristics of a variety of steels.
