Rigger

Job Title: Rigger Quality Auto & Equipment, Inc. (QAE) is a multi-state business engaged in equipment storage and logistics management, with an open position for a Rigger to support the safe handling, movement, loading, unloading, and securement of equipment. Duties: Perform heavy lifting as required to load and unload materials. Working under 100T crane as rigger. Perform daily rigging inspections and follow crane operator's requests. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including checking for damaged goods and verifying quantities. Utilize order picking systems to accurately fulfill orders. Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as needed. Conduct routine inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance or safety issues. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including OSHA regulations. Miscellaneous labor around the crane yard. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations in the warehouse. Operate a lift truck to move, stack, load, or unload materials in a safe and efficient manner. Inspect customer-owned equipment such as large generators and HVAC mechanical equipment for damage before loading / unloading Interface with truck drivers, assist with backing operations, load securement, etc. Perform basic yard maintenance including debris pick-up, vegetation control or basic yard organization tasks. Experience: Rigging experience is required. Rigging certification is highly preferred. Knowledge of mechanical principles and basic math skills. Familiarity with different types of heavy machinery. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
