Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification Must-Have: At least 2 years of labor experience Description: General Comments about the unit: Number of Beds: 24 Number of Staff: 71 Type of Staff: Day Shift labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB technician, secretary, leadership, educator. Night Shift labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB technician, secretary. Patient Ratios: Labor 1:1 (most of the time), post-partum 5-6:1, nursery 5-6:1. Type of Equipment: GE fetal monitors, EMR Meditech, CPN. Preferred or Nice to Have: 2+ years of labor experience with a history of working in an LDRP with high birth volumes. List of Typical Procedures Performed: Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum patients, newborn and post-partum care. Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs, with MIU nurses wearing pink badges for infant security. Weekends and On Call: Every third weekend with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule.
