Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Float Pool | 12-Hour Nights

Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float within a multi-tower hospital environment providing care to Telemetry, PCU, MedSurg, Ortho/Neuro, Surgical, and Medical Oncology patient populations, within your scope of practice
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage patients with arrhythmias, CHF, post-cath, chest pain, NSTEMI, and temporary/permanent pacemakers on applicable units
• Perform and maintain clinical skills including high-flow oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP delivery, chest tube management, drain management (Hemovac, JP drains), wound vacs, ostomy care, peripheral IV starts, Foley insertion/maintenance, and NG tube insertion/maintenance
• Administer and monitor IV drips including amiodarone, Cardizem, and heparin as applicable to unit assignment
• Document accurately and efficiently using EPIC EMR (required) ; utilize Pyxis for medication dispensing and ICU Plum Medical IV pumps
• Participate in every-other-weekend rotation and 1–2 holiday shifts per season (summer/winter); overtime may be available if desired, offered to core staff first, with a maximum of five 12-hour shifts per week

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Washington
• Minimum 2 years of true Telemetry or PCU nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• EPIC EMR proficiency required
• Demonstrated competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Must complete and pass a Traveler Telemetry Competency exam prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS and/or NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with IV drip management (amiodarone, Cardizem, heparin)
• Experience with specialty surgical populations including bariatric, oncology (HIPEC, Whipple, Ivor Lewis), or gender affirmation surgeries
• Additional specialty background in ICU, ED, or Mother/Baby for potential expanded float opportunities
