Education Requirements

• Associate Degree (AA or AS) preferred but not required

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience as an IT Helpdesk Specialist
• Experience supporting users with computer and technical issues
• Computer Systems Certification is a plus
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Job Duties

• Respond to customer requests in person, by phone, through email, and via the ticketing system
• Provide timely technical support and assistance to end users
• Diagnose and resolve basic computer hardware and software issues
• Troubleshoot technical problems and identify appropriate solutions
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a positive attitude
• Assist users with system access, software functionality, and general IT-related questions

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to remain seated and work at a computer and telephone workstation for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally during frequent customer conversations throughout the workday.
• Ability to use a computer, headset, keyboard, telephone system, and related office equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to maintain concentration, productivity, and professional communication in a fast-paced call center environment.

What You Will Do


As an IT Helpdesk Specialist you will connect with customers through inbound or outbound calls, ask questions to understand their needs, explain products and services, recommend appropriate solutions, respond to questions and objections, identify additional sales opportunities, process orders or applications, document customer interactions, follow up with prospects or existing customers, and work toward individual and team sales goals while providing a professional customer experience.

The IT Helpdesk Specialist supports successful sales operations by combining human communication with modern customer and sales technology. Representatives may move between telephone systems, CRM records, product information, order screens, lead queues, and account histories while continuing a natural customer conversation.


Successful IT Helpdesk Specialist candidates learn to use these systems without allowing technology to distract from the person on the other end of the call. Accurate documentation, efficient navigation, and attentive communication help create smoother customer experiences and stronger sales results.
