Orthopedic Surgeon

The Minneapolis VA Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified Hand fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon with General Orthopedic expertise. The Orthopedic Hand Surgeon provides comprehensive evaluation and surgical/non-surgical management of disorders of the hand, wrist, and forearm, including acute trauma, post-traumatic reconstruction, degenerative conditions, nerve compression, tendon disorders, congenital differences, infection, microvascular needs within scope, and occupational injuries as well as general orthopedic conditions as needed. The surgeon delivers high-quality, evidence-based care; participates in multidisciplinary collaboration; ensures appropriate documentation and compliance; and supports the VA mission through teaching, quality improvement, and, when applicable, research. The Surgery/Orthopedic service functions under the overall management of the Section Chief of Orthopedics and the Chief of Surgery with an interdisciplinary staff consisting of physicians, physician extenders, administrative and clerical staff. The surgeon will be responsible for ensuring the provision of comprehensive surgical/clinical services within the service. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
