Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Underwriter/Underwriting Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assessing the creditworthiness of potential clients, evaluating financial data, and making informed lending decisions. Responsibilities Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess risk and creditworthiness of applicants. Evaluate and underwrite applications for factoring and asset-based loans, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and provide tailored financing solutions. Prepare comprehensive underwriting reports and present findings to management. Monitor and manage the ongoing performance of the portfolio, identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate actions. Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and address any concerns. Stay updated on market trends, regulations, and best practices in underwriting. Qualifications Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Experience in commercial lending in the credit risk assessment and underwriting function. Proficient understanding of collateral, structure, pricing, and lending policies. Prior experience in underwriting for invoice factoring, asset-based lending, and/or purchase order financing is a plus. Bachelor's degree (in accounting, finance, or a related field) is preferred but not required if the candidate has relevant experience in underwriting and credit risk assessment functions.
