We’re hiring for a Purchasing Coordinator for our Sugar Land, TX area client! We are looking for experienced, reliable, hard-working employees who can interview immediately!
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:
Job Title: Purchasing Coordinator
Location: Sugar Land, TX area
Pay: $28.00/hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Duration: Temp-to-Hire
Description of Duties: Process and maintain purchase orders, requisitions, invoices, and related purchasing documentation. Monitor inventory levels and work closely with warehouse/shipping teams to help avoid material shortages. Communicate with vendors regarding late deliveries, damaged products, pricing, and invoice discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, vendor information, and order activity. Track orders from placement through delivery and ensure purchasing transactions are properly documented.
Requirements: High school diploma required; college coursework or degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in purchasing, administrative, customer service, or a related role. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data entry, spreadsheets, and basic formulas. Experience using an ERP, purchasing, or inventory management system such as SAP or Oracle is preferred. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-through. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and assist with basic price negotiations.
