The beautiful Detroit Lakes area has 412 lakes within a 25-mile radius and offers some of Minnesota's premier outdoor recreation. Summer is the busy time in lakes country with fishing, water sports, golfing on 14 challenging area courses, and some of the largest events in the world. The fall and winter bring ice fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing.
