About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Business Development to spearhead the acquisition of new grocery retail accounts and the expansion of existing partnerships. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading business development efforts, building and nurturing senior-level relationships, and driving the full sales cycle. This role requires a strategic approach to leveraging customer insights for commercial strategy, as well as the ability to ensure strong execution, profitability, and long-term account growth through cross-functional collaboration. Applicants for the Vice President of Business Development position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in business development, sales, account leadership, or a related commercial executive role, with a preference for those at the VP level or above. A strong track record in selling to grocery retail, particularly in the deli, fresh prepared foods, foodservice, or related in-store concepts, is essential. The ideal candidate will have established relationships with regional and national grocery retailers and the ability to engage senior decision-makers. Experience in leading complex, cross-functional sales efforts, strong commercial acumen, and excellent negotiation skills are also key qualifications. The role demands an individual with executive presence, a collaborative and resilient leadership style, and a willingness to travel as needed.
