Structured Cabling Technician

GridSource is seeking a Structured Cabling Technician in Provo, UT to join our team! $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS! WE WILL TRAIN Qualified Candidates! Must have a truck van or SUV We have a full-time need for a Structured Cabling Technician , you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting services in Multiple Dwelling Units (MDUs) and Single-Family Units (SFUs). Your expertise will ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction, contributing to our mission of providing reliable telecommunications solutions. What You'll Do
- Install, test, and configure telecommunication equipment and services in MDUs and SFUs.
- Perform regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot service issues as they arise.
- Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
- Educate customers on service features, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to internet, phone, and cable services.
- Work with technical teams to escalate and resolve complex problems.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Update network documentation and diagrams as necessary.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations while performing installations and repairs.
- Ensure proper handling of equipment and materials.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in telecommunications or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience as a technician in telecommunications, cable, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, signal flow, and equipment installation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
