Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Med Surg nursing care to general surgical and medical patients.

• Assess patient conditions, monitor vitals, and respond to changes promptly.

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocol.

• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EHR.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans.

• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

• Provide patient and family education on treatments, procedures, and discharge plans.

• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges while ensuring continuity of care.

• Demonstrate efficiency in meeting unit throughput targets and managing patient flow.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and pursue opportunities for advancement.

• Participate in on-site, part-time shift coverage while maintaining reliability.

Experience/Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wyoming with Med/Surg scope of practice.

• Minimum 1 year Med-Surg bedside experience in a hospital setting.

• Ability to perform accurate vitals, assessments, and rapid change in patient status.

• Administration of medications per orders and hospital protocol using EHR.

• Commitment to safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.

• Proficiency with standard EHR documentation and care planning.

• Strong teamwork with multidisciplinary care plans and handoffs.

• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and advancement.

• On-site, part-time availability with reliable attendance and shift coverage.

• Demonstrated patient and family education skills prior to discharge.
