Senior FPGA Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior FPGA Engineer to join a cutting‑edge trading firm operating at the intersection of finance and ultra‑low‑latency technology. You’ll play a key role in designing and optimising FPGA-based systems that power high‑frequency trading strategies, working alongside a team of elite engineers, quants, and traders. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimise FPGA-based solutions for low‑latency trading systems Implement high-performance data paths, network interfaces, and market data processing pipelines Work closely with software engineers and quantitative researchers to translate trading strategies into hardware Optimise timing, throughput, and resource utilization across FPGA platforms Participate in architecture decisions and contribute to system‑level design Debug and troubleshoot hardware/firmware issues in production environments Stay current with the latest FPGA tools, techniques, and industry trends Required Skills & Experience Strong experience with FPGA development (VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog) Proven track record in low‑latency or high‑performance systems Experience with FPGA toolchains (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus) Solid understanding of digital design, timing analysis, and hardware architecture Familiarity with networking protocols (Ethernet, TCP/UDP) and high‑speed interfaces Experience with hardware debugging tools (logic analyzers, simulation frameworks) Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Desirable (but not essential) Experience in financial markets or high‑frequency trading Knowledge of C/C++ for performance‑critical systems Experience with PCIe, memory controllers, or high‑speed serial interfaces Exposure to algorithmic trading systems or market data feeds #J-18808-Ljbffr
