Position Summary

Primrose School of Leesburg is seeking an energetic, passionate, and nurturing Kindergarten Teacher who is dedicated to creating a joyful and engaging learning environment for our young learners. The ideal candidate inspires curiosity, encourages creativity, and helps children build a strong foundation for lifelong learning through hands-on experiences, play-based activities, and meaningful relationships.

• Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment where every child can thrive.
• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons that foster academic, social, emotional, and physical growth.
• Inspire a love of learning through creative, engaging, and interactive teaching methods.
• Encourage curiosity, exploration, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to families.
• Maintain a well-organized classroom that promotes independence, responsibility, and respect.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support school-wide initiatives and student success.
• Uphold professional standards while maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (or as required by state regulations).
• Valid teaching certification/licensure preferred or required, depending on state requirements.
• Previous experience teaching kindergarten or early childhood students is preferred.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, dependable, and committed to continuous learning.
• Open-minded, flexible, and able to adapt to the diverse needs of young learners.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues.
• A genuine passion for helping children discover the joy of learning.
