divh2Lab Technician I/h2pOur client, a Clinical Laboratory company, is looking for a Lab Technician I for their Calabasas Hills, CA location./ppstrongResponsibilities:/strong/pulliThe primary functions are to perform technical activities in the laboratory related to tests on human specimens and to record laboratory data while working under the technical oversight of a Californialicensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist./liliAssists in specimen testing under direct and constant supervision according to established procedures, working under the technical oversight of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist and in compliance with CA regulatory restrictions. Uses automated and/or digital devices such as timers or thermometers in performing tasks./liliRecords dates of receipt, in use, and expiration for all reagents, kits, controls, and standards used for assigned assays. Ensures material used is not expired prior to use./liliPipettes using preset devices, calibrated and approved automatic devices or fixed volume dispensers./liliPerforms, under direct supervision, preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment, documents PM appropriately, makes minor repairs and immediately contacts appropriate personnel for problems requiring more complex repairs./liliDevelops an everincreasing understanding of laboratory medicine and the clinical significance of laboratory results./liliAdheres to the standard operating procedures and safety requirements of Esoterix, CLIA, CAP and other regulatory bodies./liliDocuments all activities as necessary using good documentation practices (Examples include preventative maintenance logs, instrument function checks, troubleshooting, and quality control) to ensure regulatory compliance./liliFollows any other jobrelated instructions and performs any other job related duties requested by department management./li/ulpstrongRequirements:/strong/pulliBachelors degree in a chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology or related fields of science from an accredited institution which includes a minimum 12 semester hours of chemistry preferably including at least one course of organic chemistry./li/ulpstrongWhy Should You Apply?/strong/pulliHealth Benefits/liliReferral Program/liliExcellent growth and advancement opportunities/li/ulpICONMA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
